1st prize in Large Carriages at the Tres Tombs Festival in Vilanova i la Geltrú

The carriage Gran Break from Hípica Can Vila–Yeguada Las Lunas, drawn by five stallions, stood out in a parade of more than 60 carriages and more than 200 horses.

On 17th January, the day of Sant Antoni Abat (the patron saint of animals), the spectacular carriage Gran Break from Hípica Can Vila– Yeguada Las Lunas won 1st prize for Large Carriages at the Tres Tombs festival in Vilanova i la Geltrú. The carriage consisted of one, five-hitch 'calesera' style harness made up of five stallions, three dapple-greys and two black Spanish thoroughbreds.

In the exhibition 60 show carriages and 20 working carriages took part, with a total of more than 200 mounted horses and 180 horsemen and horsewomen. The parade along the most central streets of the town got started after the blessing of the horses and carriages in Sant Antoni square in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
